Pole Dancing for Fitness

Have you tried Pole Fitness?!

Pole fitness is fast becoming a trend among women of all ages, throughout the nation!  Focusing on your core strength, pole fitness works all your muscles, slimming your waistline, enhancing the shape of your shoulders and toning your thighs - all fabulous for fat loss!

You know me - never one to shy away from a challenge... So you won't be overly surprised to know that I took the bull by the horns and am now a qualified pole fitness instructor!

I use a portable pole for my sessions, which I can bring to you in the comfort of your own home or to one of the many private gyms in the Brighton & Hove area.  All you need are leggings and a t-shirt!

An excellent workout!

Pole fitness works all the muscles of the body. It develops considerable core strength, combining muscular strength, muscular endurance, muscle tone, body flexibility, mind & body confidence all with health and safety in mind.

As a result of all of this, pole fitness slims the waistline, enhances shoulder shape, improves grip strength and tones the hard-to-reach inner thighs, which are used as the only grip on to the pole in some moves!
Pole fitness marries well with weight training as the theory is all orientated around building strength in order to lose and burn fat.  It combines perfectly with the FitFreedom programme as an optional extra towards obtaining & sustaining a lean body.

Long gone is the image of seedy pole dancing joints!  Pole fitness is a demanding, fun – and very effective way of strengthening and shaping your body.

Improve your strength

Poe fitness is about technique & gradual development of strength.  One of the key moves is to hold your body away from the pole with extended legs, whilst you support your body weight through your arms & your core. Undoubtedly you will develop a strong central core through practice and patience and, in the long term, you’ll enjoy seeing your waistline narrow and your body become more toned.  Pole fitness is a good way to vary your strength training programme and works brilliantly alongside weight training.

Who can try Pole Fitness?

Pole fitness is for any shape, size, age or gender. There are no limitations and that’s the beauty of using the pole as a training tool. You don’t have to be super strong; it’s for anyone who wants to improve their strength & flexibility. Ladies of varying fitness & strength can increase their coordination and body awareness through learning a series of pole sequences which increase strength and stability in all areas of the body.

For fitness or for fun

Your pole session can be as challenging or entertaining as you want it. This is all about you.  Join in with friends or set yourself your own goals - all sessions are tailored to what you want:

  • You can build regular pole fitness sessions into your training regime
  • Choose from a small group of your friends or opt for personal 1 to 1 sessions in our private gym or at home
  • Or why not have an outrageous hen night or girls' night in with your friends?!
  • How about a team building event with your colleagues?!

Just let us know what you'd like to do and you'll be swinging round the pole in no time!  Within 6 months most ladies will be able to perform an ‘inversion’ - an upside down position, gripping the pole with your legs!  As you can imagine, it is fantastic for thigh tone & strength!

Above all, pole fitness is great fun as well as hard work but, boy, does it get results! All in all, a fantastic and inspiring workout!

Pole Converts say:

"It is very empowering and confidence building; I wish every woman could experience this indescribable feeling."

"I went to my first pole dancing class with an open mind. You should always try something once before you decide if you like it or not! Within 10 minutes you could not wipe the smile off of my face! I had found it, what I had been looking for and didn't even know it. After the class I felt more graceful, and a bit sexier...hard to explain."
