So what’s so good about weight training?

You know I believe in weight training above all else to shift your exceess body fat.  I really believe in this because I've seen it work with my own body. I also know through experience that weight training brings with it so many additional benefits.

 Muscle tone through intelligent weight training will:

  • Improve insulin sensitivity so you are better able to process carbohydrates
  • Elevate your metabolism so your daily energy expenditure increases - the more lean tissue (muscle) you have, the less body fat you will store
  • Increase the resting tone of your muscles making them feel and look firmer
  • Improve your posture – standing more upright takes years (and pounds) off your body!
  • Improve muscular endurance so you have more energy and suffer less fatigue, especially at specific times of the day
  • Increase your bone mass and reduce your risk of developing osteoporosis
  • Increase your strength for everyday activities
  • Help keep your joints in good condition by increasing general joint stability - and so improve joint mobility and strength, meaning you will be less prone to aches and pains
  • Improve your performance in sports - strength makes everything better!
  • Allow you to target specific areas of your body that you feel need more attention than others - even considering your genetic body shape...
